Hibbert, and Professor Fink are the three wise men. ![]() The first vignette, entitled "The First D'oh-El" is essentially a retelling of the nativity story, only with a classic Simpsons spin Marge is Mary, Homer is Joseph, and Principal Skinner, Dr. "Simpsons Christmas Stories" follows the same format as the show's "Treehouse of Horror" episodes by telling three distinct holiday-related tales. Grinch' entitled 'You're a Hero, Homer Jay', all of which make it an enjoyable and well-written, if not safe, holiday episode. The episode contains a classic rivalry between Homer and Ned, gags about Jesus being the singer behind "Stairway to Heaven", and Kent Brockman being in rehab, and a great spoof rendition of 'You're a Mean One, Mr. However, that's definitely not a bad thing. ![]() The show has never shied away from parody, and, in many ways, "Tis the Fifteenth Season" is pretty standard Simpsons fare. Homer then misinterprets advice from Lisa about people possibly being happier without material possessions, which results in him stealing the town's Christmas presents in a hilarious Grinch-like fashion. He starts by doing good deeds for his friends and fellow neighbors, which causes Ned Flanders to feel that his status as the resident nice guy is slipping, and thus, Flanders attempts to one-up Homer by purchasing Christmas gifts for the whole town. ![]() In the fittingly titled "Tis the Fifteenth Season", Homer becomes aware of his own selfishness after watching a version of A Christmas Carol, and sets out to change his ways by becoming the nicest man in Springfield. Then again, The Simpsons isn't like most shows. Most shows never live to see a fifteenth season or sometimes even half as many.
